Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

a. Applicant

An Applicant is a user that has a registered and activated account on www.Mastersportal.com, www.Bachelorsportal.com, www.PhDportal.com, www.Distancelearningportal.com or www.Shortcoursesportal.com and has reached the age of 18 (or has provided prior written consent of the applicant’s parent(s) / legal guardian(s).

b. Potential Grant Recipient

A Potential Grant Recipient is an Applicant who has been accepted to a study programme at one of the partner universities of Studyportals. The Potential Grant Recipient will become the Grant Recipient after the eligibility has been verified.

c. Eligible Grant Recipient

An Eligible Grant Recipient is a Potential Grant Recipient whose eligibility has been confirmed.

d. Grant Provider

This grant is provided by Studyportals, Klokgebouw 280, 5617 AC Eindhoven, The Netherlands, hereafter referred to as the Grant Provider.

2. Eligibility

An eligible Applicant to this project is an Applicant who is an enrolled and active student in one of StudyPortals partner universities at the time of applying for the grant. Furthermore, the Applicant should have started their current study within the last 17 months. Exchange Students are excluded from receiving the grant. The Applicant must have found his/her current study programme at one of the following portals: www.Mastersportal.com, www.Bachelorsportal.com, www.PhDportal.com, www.Distancelearningportal.com or www.Shortcoursesportal.com.

The Grant Provider reserves the right to verify if the Applicant was an active Studyportals user (on at least one of the portals) at least three months before the start of the Applicant’s current university study. As well as the right to ask for proof of enrollment to determine eligibility. Once the Potential Grant Recipient's eligibility has been confirmed, the Grant Provider may ask for a photo.

The Eligible Grant Recipient can claim the grant within 6 months after he/she has been informed he/she is eligible to receive the grant.

3. Duration

Entries will be accepted between Tuesday, August 1 2023, to Monday, October 16 2023. The campaign may be cancelled at any moment in time.

4. Grant

The Studyportals Student Grant is non-transferable and cannot be used by any person other than the successful candidates.

The Studyportals Student Grant has a total of 20 grants which one grant is a maximum value of EUR 1000.

The Eligible Grant Recipient can only receive a one-time grant at the maximum value of EUR 1000. This value will be transferred to the Eligible Grant Recipient’s account within 30 days after the eligibility has been confirmed. In all cases, the Eligible Grant Recipient may be requested to send a picture showing him/her at their university to share publicly on Studyportals’ website and Social Media channels.

Studyportals reserves the right to allocate or withdraw the Studyportals Student Grant at its discretion, should the successful candidate not respond, including failure to provide Studyportals with any required information and documentation by the deadlines of submissions. After the deadline, all responsibility of Studyportals ceases entirely.

The successful candidate needs to provide final confirmation of acceptance from the relevant institution by the relevant cut-off date in order to claim the grant.

Studyportals reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of Studyportals’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by Studyportals.

The Studyportals Student Grant and these terms and conditions will be governed by Dutch law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.

Entry into The Studyportals Student Grant will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

5. Publicity

By applying for the enrolment grant, you agree to provide us with personal information, which may be processed adhering at all times to our Privacy Policy. This policy also informs you with regard to your rights as a Data Subject under the GDPR.

Except where prohibited, application for the grant constitutes consent on behalf of the Grant Recipient to, publish the Eligible Grant Recipient’s name, photo, country of origin and country of study on the Studyportals’ websites and other communications channels, comprising but not limited to newsletter articles, social media posts, mailing, and community announcements.
