Karl Baldacchino
ResearcherKarl comes from the Republic of Malta in the middle of the Mediterranean. He is a recent graduate from the American University of Paris, holding an M.A. in Diplomacy & International Law, as well as a B.A. in Global & European History with an additional focus in International Relations. His journey with handling data started during his master’s studies due to the increasing use of scientific evidence in human rights case surrounding climate change. This led him to pursue an internship with The Farm Kitchen based in Hoofddorp, where he acted as a Sustainability & Operations Researcher to draw up a report on an initial carbon footprint of their plant-based meals. He also volunteered for a non-profit organisation called Broken Chalk concerned with protecting the right to education globally. He now hopes to merge his experiences together to help Studyportals’ clients to make informed decisions that support and expand access to quality education.
In Studyportals, Karl carries out market research by both desk/field research and data analysis, to then draw up reports based on our data and make recommendations to their clients. He also supports his team with the use of our massive amount of data to its fullest potential, which aids them in analysing their clients’ internal processes and data in terms of enquiry and application management. Another part of Karl’s job is to prepare and draft thought leadership whitepapers with our team of experts. Lastly, he supports our senior consultants when preparing client visits or conference presentations, crystallizing Studyportal’s mission, operating procedures and client base of ACT.
