Barbara Lung

Barbara’s leadership experience within the international sector spans almost 20 years, with a deep understanding of the global and Australian policy landscape and trends in international student recruitment, partnership and student mobility. She led the global strategic direction at Curtin University from 2016, following a 10-year tenure at a UK University. Currently, Barbara is the Executive Director, Global at Federation University Australia. She brings a blend of strategic and tactical skills that are further enhanced by a diverse career foundation and academic background in sociology and politics.

Despite the challenges of a constantly changing sector, she has consistently met budget targets and has developed her teams into strong sales and operational professionals. She sits on a number of Boards in as a trusted advisor in the international Higher Education sector and she works closely with industry and government partners to enhance Australia’s education brand globally.
