
Wendy Curtis
Dean, International Strategy, Partnerships and Market Development at Fanshawe CollegeWendy Curtis is the Dean of International at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology in London, Ontario, Canada where she is responsible for international marketing and recruitment, student engagement, exchange and admissions. Wendy established Fanshawe’s model of in-country representatives, with best-in-class admission processing in support of informing students, parents and agencies. Transparency, continual evaluation, process change, and labour market relevance are the hall marks of Fanshawe’s successful approach to international student services and projects. Wendy is a former chair of the Ontario Heads of International and is the recipient of the Fanshawe Distinguished Leader of the Year. She has led initiatives which have gained Fanshawe recognition from Colleges and Institutes Canada for outstanding contributions to Internationalization and most recently has served as faculty with the Leadership Institute for Leaders in International.
Wendy is responsible for Fanshawe Toronto@ILAC, Fanshawe’s partnership with the International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC). Capacity-building projects have included Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Ecuador, and Palestine. Beyond her current role, Wendy has led the portfolios of Advancement and Alumni, Scholarships and Awards, Co-op and Career Services, and Government and Community Relations. Wendy joined Fanshawe following a career in Community Relations with Conservation Authorities.
Wendy holds an MA in Global Change, a certificate in Intercultural Studies, a BA in Political Science, and a diploma in Recreation Facilities Management and Administration.
Fanshawe continues to attract close to 10,000 international students, from over 100 countries each year.
