Roland Siegers
Senior Associate ConsultantWith more than 23 years of experience in international education management, Roland supports universities and networks worldwide in shaping strategy and driving transformation. Most recently, he collaborated with Kearney on the strategic transformation of a major public university in the MENA region, focusing on research strategy, international partnerships, HR policies, governance, and financial sustainability.
As an independent higher education strategy consultant, Roland partners with institutions and organisations to strengthen their global engagement and long-term resilience. His work frequently includes institutional strategy development, programme portfolio strategy, helping universities align their academic offerings with future skills needs and market demand, strategic benchmarking, and competitor analysis to inform evidence-based decision-making and strengthen institutional positioning.
Previously, as Director of External Engagement at ESMT Berlin, he deepened corporate and academic partnerships, launched new programmes, and co-founded the Innova Europe Sustainable Entrepreneurship Challenge, connecting leading European business schools to promote innovation and sustainable impact.
Earlier in his career, Roland served as Executive Director of the CEMS Global Alliance, leading its expansion to 33 universities and over 70 corporate partners worldwide. His leadership reinforced CEMS’s position as a global reference point in management education.
Fluent in German, English, French, and Italian, Roland holds a Diploma in Political Science from Freie Universität Berlin and advanced qualifications in Education Management. He is passionate about creating globally connected, forward-looking education systems that empower learners and institutions to succeed.
