Tajamul Sheikh

Tajamul works as a Data Engineer in the Big Data Team, where he designs, builds, and maintains data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. He contributes to the AWS data platform, supports reliable data operations, and helps ensure that data is accessible, secure, and trusted for business and analytics use cases. He is also interested in applying automation and AI-driven approaches to improve data workflows and operational efficiency.

Tajamul has a background in data engineering, analytics and cloud technologies, with experience in building scalable data solutions and working with modern data platforms. He holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from the Higher School of Economics and is particularly interested in data engineering, cloud technologies, and AI-driven applications. Originally from Kashmir, he relocated to the Netherlands and joined Studyportals in July 2026 to continue growing his career in the data and technology space.

One of Tajamul’s key challenges is bridging the gap between business ideas and technical implementation. He enjoys transforming complex and sometimes ambiguous requirements into scalable data solutions, while exploring how automation and AI can make data systems smarter, more reliable, and easier to use.

Outside of work, Tajamul enjoys exploring new places, reading about technology and AI, playing chess and cricket, and spending time in nature and the mountains.
