Studyportals and Made Impact join forces at the United Nations, with a joint stories platform to highlight the impact of international education

New York, United States/Eindhoven, Netherlands, 1 September, 2026 – Studyportals and Made Impact have announced a strategic partnership and the launch of the Impactportal, a new global platform dedicated to collecting, amplifying and evidencing the transformative impact of international education.

The announcement was made at the inaugural Made Impact Summit at the United Nations in New York, bringing together leaders, policymakers and storytellers committed to strengthening the global narrative around international education and exchange.

The partnership combines Studyportals’ global reach and expertise in international higher education with Made Impact’s storytelling and movement-building capabilities. Together, the organisations will develop and operate the Impactportal, a collaborative initiative designed to showcase the human, societal and economic impact of international education, student mobility and global talent.

As part of the collaboration, Studyportals CEO Edwin van Rest joins Made Impact as a co-founding leader of the initiative.

International education changes lives every day, yet too often its impact remains invisible or difficult to quantify. Announcing this partnership at the United Nations reflects the scale of our ambition. Through the Impactportal, we want to bring together compelling stories and credible evidence from around the world, helping institutions, governments and communities better understand the profound value of international education.

said Edwin van Rest, CEO of Studyportals.

International education and exchange is the world’s best long-term strategy to maximise human potential, for prosperity and peace. We want to build a sector -inclusive movement, and therefore partnering with a powerhouse in the education space, Studyportals, with a mission so aligned to ours, is a big win for us, and for the world.

said Chris Arnold, founder at Made Impact.

Impactportal aims to become a globally recognised repository of stories, providing universities, students, alumni and partners with a platform to share authentic experiences and demonstrate the wider impact of international education.
