Dr. David Pilsbury

David Pilsbury is Chief Development Officer at Oxford International Education Group. From 2008 to 2021, he led international engagement for Coventry University through the International Office, Academic Partnership Unit and Centre for Global Engagement. Pilsbury was responsible for all international activities including joint ventures, recruitment, collaborative delivery, globalisation of the curriculum, mobility; enhancement. His ambitious agenda saw a more than 6-fold increase in overseas recruitment to ~10,000 students making Coventry the UK’s third largest recruiter.

He has won many awards including a Queen’s Award for Enterprise and EAIE’s premiere award for Internationalisation and was made a Hong Kong VTC Honorary Fellow in recognition of his role in promoting international education. David was previously chief executive of the Worldwide Universities Network and was head of research policy at HEFCE. He Chairs the UUKI PVC Group on Global Engagement.
