Project Manager and ConsultantAt Studyportals, Elena is responsible for end-to-end project management, ensuring efficient planning and control. She works closely with clients to analyse internal processes and data, particularly around enquiry and application management, to generate actionable insights. Elena also contributes to consulting projects through on-site client engagement, conducts in-depth market research using both traditional and data-driven approaches, and supports business development through consulting sales and identifying new market opportunities.
Before Studyportals, Elena spent 5 years in ITEC, one of the oldest educational agencies in Russia, handling end-to-end student admission to universities and schools across the globe, then joined Nuffic, a Dutch NGO for internationalisation in education, where she spent 4 years overseeing projects on institutional collaboration (15+ countries involved), scientific research, academic staff mobility, and alumni affairs. She also worked on the communication strategy and alumni engagement projects for Hanze University of Applied Sciences. Alongside her career in international education, she has been running several retention marketing-related projects for various industries since 2019. Elena holds a Master’s degree in International Communication from Hanze University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and a 5-year Specialist degree in Linguistics & Translation from Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia.
One of the key challenges Elena enjoys tackling in her role is identifying the universities’ needs and uncovering their growth potential. She gets energy from matching these with Studyportals’ (current and potential) offerings for creating a meaningful impact. Elena’s personal goal is to make the world better than she found it through accessible education. What Elena loves about Studyportals is that her own goals and ambitions match with those of the company. A lifelong learner herself, she strongly supports Studyportals’ mission to empower people choose education.
