Jens van den Berg

Jens is responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and users. His primary focus is developing and maintaining the server-side logic. Besides that, he also ensures that the services run with the highest performance possible while keeping the quality up to spec.

Jens joined the Studyportals team in December 2014. After being a mobile developer for 2.5 years he decided to make a switch as web developer mainly using PHP and NodeJS. While making this transition he kept on making Android apps for himself as a hobby.

His key challenge is developing quality software that is both re-usable and stable whilst always looking to improve existing work as well. Besides that, he wants to keep on learning new techniques and implement these in every developer related aspect.

While he wanted to study in the UK but had too much trouble to get it sorted properly. He now wants to help and stimulate people to make this choice by making it a lot easier through Studyportals.

While everyone is working hard to make Studyportals a great success, he finds it important that there is still room for fun.
