Stefan Klokgieters

Stefan joined the Studyportals Engineering team in November 2013 as a Front-end Developer to assist the Engineering team with the client facing development aspects of the websites as one of the youngest members.

Before joining Studyportals he completed his Bachelor in ICT Media & Design in July 2012 at the Fontys University in Eindhoven. During and after his study he worked at a local ICT company as a Web Designer, where he was responsible for the design, implementation, customer support and Search Engine Optimization.

Now he is a Software Development Manager and is leading the product-oriented engineering teams within the Engineering department. His main responsibilities are to improve the Studyportals products by setting a technical strategy and in particular by guiding the engineers in creating high-quality software, delivered in a timely yet realistic manner. People are always his number one priority, only with a group of motivated and happy people, we can make miracles happen! Something which easily can get forgotten.

Besides the above, he is very passionate about the Agile methodology, page speed and Search Engine Optimization.

His key challenge is creating user centered websites that not only look great but also fit to the user’s needs while building the best engineering teams imaginable.

He is trying to learn and use the best methods and technologies possible which enable to build high quality online products while trying to become the best person I can be. Who does good things to others, will receive good things in return.

His favourite activites are collecting vintage Polaroid cameras and comic related memorabilia, watching movies and series, taking awesome pictures and videos, and practicing kickboxing at least once a week.
