Job summary/responsibilities:

In his role, Joos focuses on building new features and taking care of maintenance for the internal & client-facing tools and applications.

General introduction/background:

Joos studied Industrial Design at the Eindhoven University of Technology, where he developed a passion for design and programming. In the one and a half years that followed he worked together with fellow graduates from his studies on a start-up, where he further specified his skillset on web development. He especially enjoyed developing things, but the business side of entrepreneurship suited him less. This realisation brought him to Studyportals, where he can focus on what he likes to do most.

Key challenge:

As an engineer that is responsible for internal and client-facing applications, one of his main challenges is to build applications and features that support users in their jobs, while ensuring that all the provided tools stay user-friendly, maintainable and scalable.

Favourite activities:

Likes to create cool things, for instance by developing an application for a LAN party, writing a book, making videos, or preparing a quiz for friends.
