The Global Study Awards: Expanding Students’ Horizons

At Studyportals,  encouraging young people to study abroad has always been our mission. We want students everywhere to experience and explore new countries, cultures, and languages. To keep our mission alive, and in cooperation with the ISIC Association and the British Council IELTS, we have successfully created the Global Study Awards – a yearly monetary award that allows students to pursue their study abroad dreams. We continue to offer The Global Study Awards because we have always recognised studying abroad as a positively life-changing experience for students, opening their minds to new ideas, enriching their personal lives and professional careers,   and promoting their intercultural understanding and tolerance. The Global Study Awards help and support highly motivated and talented individuals want to use their studies to contribute to society and make the world a better place.

After reviewing all applications, we were able to select four lucky candidates eligible to receive this year’s Global Study Awards. Choosing winners from thousands of great applicants is always challenging, but these students stood out for the impact they have already made in their communities, and their potential to contribute to a better world:

Meet Clara from Brazil, who has always dreamed of pursuing a degree and career in human rights, and who will now get the opportunity to do so at Leiden University in the Netherlands;

Meet Shine from Myanmar, who wants to connect his country with the rest of the world through diplomacy, and will do so by pursuing a degree at Georgetown in the United States of America;

Meet Amanda from Argentina, who will take this opportunity to pursue a degree at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, so she can continue advocating for a more transparent and humane world;

And meet Kingston from Nigeria, who will use TGSA to pursue studies at Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom, helping him to achieve his career goals and continue to inspire others to keep their dreams alive.
