StudyPortals conference “The Student of the Future” brings together international leaders in international tertiary education. 

GRONINGEN – What will higher education look like in 2025? The question is central at the ’Student of the Future Conference’ taking place at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the Netherlands on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. It is the first event of its kind for the global education choice platform StudyPortals that is headquartered in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

The conference is a collaboration of the education technology company Blackboard and StudyPortals and part of a pre-conference programme for the Blackboard “Teaching and Learning Conference 2016’’.

The event is themed as a time travel to the future of higher education and attendees and speakers are international leaders in tertiary education. Participants will get insights into technological change and innovations and their impact on higher education in the future.

The future themed event will bring together leaders in the field of future education like for example keynote speakers, Zvi Galil, the Dean of Georgia Tech University in the United States and the founder of Singularity University in the Netherlands Yuri van Geest. Zvi Galil will address the future of technology and education on the example of the disruptive entirely online Master programme in Computer Science, which is offered at a fifth of the cost of a regular Masters programme. Yuri van Geest introduces the exponential university as the future of education.

Alongside the keynotes, StudyPortals has organized several workshops and sessions on digital student recruitment, analyzing student behavior with the help of big data, the study choice process etc.
